Hi! My name’s Katherine. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I made the move out to California to attend Chapman University’s Screenwriting Program and pursue my passion for film.

As a screenwriter, I love writing primarily in the horror genre, but I find myself drawn to any story that inspires fantastic visuals that you could only see onscreen. I also write with my college friend, Mischa Marcus. Our styles blend together to create poignant dramas and a grab-bag of other genres.

I co-produced the award-winning indie drama, I AM STILL HERE, which prompted the opening of a safe house in Muskogee, Oklahoma for sex-trafficked children. I also co-produced I’LL BE NEXT DOOR FOR CHRISTMAS, a family Christmas comedy that was entirely funded via equity crowdfunding.

When not writing, I love to play boardgames, sing, act, and cosplay. I love new experiences, which Los Angeles is not short on. While more of a cat person, if you have a corgi, I definitely want to be your friend.
